As the next generation takes charge of India’s biggest companies, here’s a look at five firms led by under-35 leaders with the largest workforces, according to the Avendus Wealth–Hurun India U35 List 2025.

1. Reliance Retail | Reliance Retail, led by Isha Ambani, employs 2,47,782 individuals. This makes it the largest employer of all companies founded or led by an U-35 companies. Reliance Retail is eyeing a revenue growth of over 20% CAGR in the next three years. (Image: Reuters)

3. Reliance Jio Infocomm | Third on the list is Reliance Jio Infocomm, the telecommunications business of Reliance Industries Limited. Led by 33-year-old Akash Ambani as the Chairman, Reliance Jio employs 90,067 people. With a $58 billion valuation, it is also among the world’s most valuable unlisted companies. Jio’s entry into India’s telecom market shook the industry with low-cost internet and has steadily gained market considerable market share. 4. RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group | RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group, led by 35-year-old Shashwat Goenka is also among the top employers. The company has workforce of 54,500 people. (Image: Canva)
5. Ashok Leyland | The fifth company led by an under-35 executive with the largest workforce is Ashok Leyland, headed by Shom Hinduja, which employs 34,866 people. Last month, the flagship company of the Hinduja Group, sold 17,209 vehicles in the domestic market. (Image: Reuters)
