Metals and alloys producer Mishra Dhatu Nigam Ltd (MIDHANI) has bagged a fresh order worth ₹306 crore, taking its open order book to around ₹2,212 crore, the company said.
The announcement comes after the company’s shares closed lower by 0.26% at ₹377.95 on the NSE.
Chairman and Managing Director N. Gowri Sankara Rao, earlier this year, told CNBC-TV18 the company expects higher production orders in FY26, particularly from the Naval and Aerospace sectors, which are likely to further boost turnover.
Rao had mentioned that MIDHANI started exporting three years ago, initially in small quantities, and has now received increasing orders from major original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) like Boeing, Airbus, and GE.
In Q1 FY26, MIDHANI reported a strong profit after tax surging 145% year-on-year to ₹12.96 crore, against ₹5.3 crore in Q1 FY25.

Revenue grew 4% to ₹170.5 crore, while EBITDA jumped 46% to ₹34.18 crore, expanding margins to 20.05% from 14.28% a year earlier.
Finance costs declined 10% to ₹6.17 crore, while other income was marginally lower at ₹7.11 crore versus ₹7.77 crore last year.
With a growing order pipeline and strong quarterly momentum, MIDHANI appears poised for sustained growth in the defence and aerospace materials segment.
