Vijay attacked Stalin over his remarks on everyone in Tamil Nadu politics being his friends. He also claimed that the DMK government was responsible for the tragedy at his Karur rally but he was blamed for it.
“When asked about political enemies, Stalin sir said all are my friends. If we are friends, why did you blame me in the Karur (stampede) incident,” Vijay said.
The Karur stampedeÂ
A stampede took place on September 27 in Tamil Nadu’s Karur during Vijay’s rally that left 41 people dead and over 100 people injured.
The Tamil Nadu Police reasoned that the accident happened due to a presence of large number of people at the rally than what the venue was believed to be capable of.
The authorities also alleged that Vijay’s late arrival to the site by a few hours also led people to rush to the site in anticipation of his rally.
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is currently probing the incident and the matter is sub-judice.
Vijay’s attacks on Stalin and DMK
He further said the Tamil Nadu Assembly Polls 2026 is between TVK and DMK, stating, “The competition is between Vijay and Stalin Sir. Tamil Nadu is Vijay, Vijay is Tamil Nadu. The war is between TVK and DMK,” as per ANI.
“Today, there is a fake model government. A standup comedy state government is currently ruling in Tamil Nadu. This election will be a historic election, and a miracle election,” he added.
Vijay alleged that Stalin has “given fake promises and is cheating people,” adding that if the TVK forms a government in the state, he would visit every district and “personally meet everyone”.
He also raised hands and urge people to make pledges to vote for TVK and its whistle symbol in the elections.
“Our vote, our rights, no one can take away our votes. Our vote for the whistle symbol. We will never allow anyone to grab our votes, it’s true,” he said, terming it as a “whistle revolution” election.
