Major nationwide school and college holidays
March 4 (Wednesday) – Holi
One of the most commonly celebrated holidays in India is Holi, often known as the festival of colours. The majority of schools and colleges remain closed on this occasion.
March 21 (Saturday) – Eid-ul-Fitr (Tentative)
Depending on the moon sighting, Eid-ul-Fitr marks the end of Ramadan. Most educational institutions around the country will remain closed on this day.

March 26 (Thursday) – Ram Navami
Schools and colleges remain closed on Ram Navami, a public holiday celebrating the birth of Lord Rama. The day is a designated holiday for workers and students, and it is usually celebrated with cultural events.
March 31 (Tuesday) – Mahavir Jayanti
Schools and colleges across India will observe Mahavir Jayanti, a day commemorating the birth of Lord Mahavira, as a gazetted holiday. This day will see the closure of all educational institutions, including those in West Bengal.
