The scheme, launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in September 2025, aims to provide women with financial support to start businesses and generate livelihoods.
So far, about 1.81 crore women have received the initial ₹10,000 grant.
Officials added that women who have already invested the sum in business ventures could soon receive additional financial assistance of up to Rs 2 lakh under the scheme.
The initiative highlights the state government’s strategy to promote self-employment and financial independence among women.
