According to the Election Commission of India, the final rolls include 4,40,30,725 electors, an addition of 5.60 lakh names after the draft electoral rolls were released on December 19, 2025, at the end of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise.
The draft rolls had pegged the voter count at 4.34 crore after nearly 74 lakh names were dropped, compared with the earlier total of 5.08 crore. With the addition of 5.60 lakh names following claims and objections, the final figure has risen to 4.40 crore.
The objections and claims process was open between December 19, 2025, and January 30, 2026, with verification completed and cases disposed of by February 10.
Chief Electoral Officer Hareet Shukla thanked citizens for their participation, calling it “unprecedented cooperation” during the revision drive.
The exercise involved 34 district election officers, 182 voter registration officers, 855 assistant voter registration officers and over 50,000 booth-level officers (BLOs), supported by volunteers across the state.
Officials said enumeration forms were distributed to 5.08 crore voters and digitised on a mission mode. Meetings were also held between BLOs and booth level agents of political parties to verify unreturned forms. Lists of voters whose forms were not submitted were subsequently published on the websites of district election officers and the CEO.
