PM Modi asked the students to have full confidence in their study pattern, but also listen to advise from others, and improvise.
“No matter what your parents, or teachers, or peers say, have faith in and follow your pattern, keeping in mind all the suggestions that come your way,” PM Modi said.
“Our goal should always be within reach, but not easily achievable… Always stay a step ahead of your teacher. ‘Mann ko joto, fir mann ko jodo, aur fir padhai ke vishay rakho’,” he added.
Students also sang self-composed songs before PM Narendra Modi, as he interacted with them during the ninth edition of ‘Pariksha pe Charcha’.

He welcomed the students with the Assamese ‘Gamosa’ or called gamchha.
PM Modi also called for maintaining a balance in life.
“There should be a balance in everything in life. If you bend more towards one side, you will fall… Life skills and professional skills are equally important and can be imbibed only with education…” he said.
