Once the result is announced, candidates can follow these steps to download it:
Visit the official website – ugcnet.nta.nic.in
Click on the link for ‘Download Result For UGC-NET December 2025’ under the ‘Candidate Activity’ section.
Enter application number, date of birth and security details.
Submit the details and download the scorecard.
Save or print the scorecard for future use.
Candidates should be aware that scorecards must be downloaded online and are not delivered to their addresses.
Exam details
The University Grants Commission (UGC) has given the National Testing Agency (NTA) the duty of administering UGC-NET, a test to ascertain whether Indian nationals are qualified for Award of Junior Research Fellowship,
Appointment as Assistant Professor, Appointment as Assistant Professor and admission to PhD. and Admission to PhD only in Indian universities and colleges.
The computer-based examination is administered twice a year and consists of two papers: Paper 1 evaluates general teaching and research skills, while Paper 2 evaluates subject-specific knowledge.
The UGC NET December 2025 test contained around 85 subjects and was administered across multiple shifts.
The result will include details like the cut-off marks, qualifying status, and marks earned. Certificates of eligibility for teaching or research roles in higher education institutions will be awarded to candidates who pass the examination.
UGC NET exam cut off 2025-2026
The UGC NET cut-off depends on a number of factors, including the degree of competition and the complexity of the test. Candidates from the General and EWS categories must receive at least 40% in their cumulative scores from both examinations in order to be eligible. Candidates from the SC, ST, OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), PwD, and third gender categories must receive at least 35% of the possible points.
