The Election Commission of India (ECI) will announce the schedule for Assembly elections in Assam, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and the Union Territory of Puducherry at 4 pm on Sunday, March 15, formally kicking off one of the year’s largest electoral exercises.
The poll schedule will detail key dates, including voting phases, nomination deadlines and counting day.
Once announced, the Model Code of Conduct will come into force in the poll-bound states and Union Territories.
