Jaipur: The state education department announced that only exams conducted by Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) and Rajasthan Staff Selection Board (RSSB) will be permitted in govt schools.
This decision aims to maintain an uninterrupted learning environment for students and prevent academic losses. Additionally, the department declared that there will be no holidays in schools during this period.
An order dated March 14, issued by Director Secondary Education Sitaram Jat, said that this was being done to ensure maximum academic days in school and to facilitate a continuous and uninterrupted learning environment for students.
“…no examinations of any kind, other than those scheduled by the Rajasthan Public Service Commission (Ajmer), the Staff Selection Board (Jaipur), and the department of education, shall be conducted within school premises without the prior permission of this office. Furthermore, no holidays shall be declared in schools for this purpose,” the order stated, and it was made available on Monday.
The director instructed all joint directors of different divisions of the education department to grant permission for the conduct of any other type of exam only after obtaining prior permission or approval from the directorate of secondary education.
To provide quality education to children and increase the number of study days, the state education department is starting the next academic session on April 1 this year. By starting the academic session in April, the number of teaching days in state govt schools will increase to 214 days from 180 days at present.
