
The company informed stock exchanges that it has acquired 1,78,57,14,286 equity shares of face value $0.1008 each in T Steel Holdings Pte. Ltd (TSHP), a wholly-owned foreign subsidiary of Tata Steel. The transaction aggregates to $180 million, equivalent to approximately ₹1,680.27 crore.
The acquisition was completed on March 24, 2026 through subscription to equity shares issued by TSHP.
Tata Steel stated that the investment forms part of the previously disclosed fund infusion into the subsidiary. The company had earlier made multiple disclosures regarding such investments on May 12, 2025; June 25, 2025; July 10, 2025; August 26, 2025; September 24, 2025; October 29, 2025; December 19, 2025; February 2, 2026; and February 26, 2026.
Following the latest subscription, T Steel Holdings Pte. Ltd will continue to remain a wholly-owned foreign subsidiary of Tata Steel.
The disclosure was made in compliance with Regulation 30 and Regulation 51 read with Schedule III of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015, as amended.
For the purpose of the transaction value calculation, the USD to INR exchange rate of ₹93.3483, as published by the Reserve Bank of India on March 20, 2026, has been used.

Shares of Tata Steel rose 2.15% to close at ₹191.20 on the NSE on March 24, 2026.
