AAP MP Ashok Mittal has been appointed as the new Deputy Leader of the party in the Upper House, replacing Chadha.
Hours after the decision became public, Chadha appeared to respond indirectly by posting a nearly three-minute video compilation of his speeches and interventions in the Rajya Sabha.
The video highlights several issues raised by the 37-year-old parliamentarian during recent sessions of Parliament.
The clips show Chadha speaking on a range of public concerns, including air pollution, rising airfares, the rights and working conditions of gig-economy workers, and the validity rules governing prepaid mobile data plans.

The compilation includes short excerpts from his speeches where he raises matters affecting everyday citizens as well as broader economic concerns.
One segment focuses on the expiry rules for mobile data packages, while another discusses labour protections for gig workers employed by quick-commerce platforms.

Chadha did not include any caption with the video and only used a ‘nazar’ amulet emoji while sharing it on social media. The nazar amulet is a Mediterranean talisman believed by some to protect against the “evil eye” and absorb negative energy.
Removal from party post fuels speculation
Earlier in the day, the party led by Arvind Kejriwal formally informed the Rajya Sabha Secretariat about the leadership change.
The letter stated that Chadha had been removed from the post of Deputy Leader and that the party had requested he should not be allotted speaking time in Parliament, as per News18.
AAP currently has 10 members in the Rajya Sabha, including seven from Punjab and three from Delhi.

The development comes amid growing speculation regarding Chadha’s position within the party. Rumours about a possible rift intensified after he was excluded from the list of AAP’s star campaigners for elections in Assam.
While the party has not officially disclosed the reason for his removal, reports suggest the decision may be linked to allegations of indiscipline and failure to adhere to the party line.
Notably, Chadha had remained silent after Manish Sisodia and Arvind Kejriwal were discharged in connection with the liquor excise policy-linked money laundering case.
