
In the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal, Great Eastern Shipping Company posted a net profit of ₹905 crore, the company said in a regulatory filing. The company’s revenue from operations fell 18.3% to ₹1,223 crore as against ₹1,497 crore in the corresponding period of the preceding fiscal.
Great Eastern Shipping Company has declared the fourth interim dividend of ₹5.40 per share for the fourth quarter of FY2025, marking the 13th consecutive quarterly dividend. With this, the total dividend declared for FY2025 amounts to ₹29.70 per share.

The record date to determine eligible shareholders for the interim dividend has been fixed as May 15, 2025. The dividend will be paid on or after June 3, 2025. As of March 31, 2025, the company’s consolidated Net Asset Value (NAV) stands at ₹1,406 per share.
The board has also recommended the re-appointment of Shivshankar Menon as an Independent Director for a second term, effective August 2, 2025. His re-appointment is subject to shareholder approval at the upcoming Annual General Meeting.
Further, the Board has approved the re-appointment of Bharat K. Sheth as Deputy Chairman and Managing Director for a period of five years starting from April 1, 2026. This, too, is subject to shareholder approval.

Additionally, G. Shivakumar has been re-appointed as Executive Director for another five-year term beginning November 14, 2025, pending shareholder approval at the ensuing AGM.
The results came after the close of the market hours. Shares of Great Eastern Shipping Company Ltd ended at ₹875.65, up by ₹11.45 or 1.32% on the BSE.
