
The national finale, held in New Delhi on 15 June, drew more than 250 participants, including students and families from across the country. This year’s edition saw over 37,000 registrations from more than 9,000 schools across 660 districts—double the response of the previous year—and over 5,600 project submissions.
The first prize went to Prateek Sethi, a Class IX student from Odisha, for his project AI Powered Criminal Activity Detection Through Sensor-less Sensing
. His system uses Wi-Fi signals to detect unusual activity without relying on cameras or traditional surveillance tools. He was awarded a scholarship of ₹4 lakh.
Among the other national winners, the second-ranked project, ArmX – Smart Rehabilitation System, was developed by Devarsh Patel, Veer Manvar, and Kavan Patel. It enables hand movement rehabilitation using a glove and robotic arm system and earned the team a ₹6 lakh scholarship.
The third prize, a ₹4.5 lakh scholarship, went to Safin Mallick, Sirsa Naskar, and Agamani Pandey for Green Run for Green Souls, a renewable wind energy-powered electric vehicle charging concept.
The fourth place went to Kushaal Abhay, Vamshikha K S, and Dhriti Kannan, who developed an Arduino-Based LPG Gas Leakage Detection and Prevention System and received ₹3 lakh. In fifth place was Trevive, a tree health monitoring device by Abeer Gosain, which earned a ₹75,000 scholarship. Finalists ranked sixth to tenth were awarded ₹25,000 each.
The evaluation panel included academic and industry experts who reviewed the projects on scientific application, feasibility, cost-efficiency, and potential for social use. The jury also selected the top 10 entries for their ability to address practical issues across sectors such as public safety, healthcare, renewable energy, and environmental conservation.
The event also featured a showcase of vivo India’s KanyaGyaan programme, which supports young women in STEM through scholarships and mentoring. So far, it has supported over 175 scholars—many from families with annual incomes below ₹1 lakh—with academic and career opportunities in science and engineering.
