A video was uploaded on Sunday where Kamra spoke about the split in Shiv Sena and Eknath Shinde’s rebellion.

After the video went viral, Shiv Sena workers gathered at The Habitat at the Unicontinental Hotel in Mumbai’s Khar area.
In videos, workers can be seen threatening the organisers and ransacking the venue.
Please give me one reason why a well-educated person would want to live in this country.#kunalkamra pic.twitter.com/TiestMfxmf

In an apparent response, Kamra shared a picture of himself holding up a copy of The Constitution of India and said on X, “The only way forward…”
Later, Shiv Sena Yuva Sena (Shinde faction) General Secretary Rahool Kanal filed a complaint with the Khar police, claiming that Kunal Kamra, along with Rahul Gandhi, Aditya Thackeray, and Sanjay Raut, conspired to malign the image of deputy chief minister Eknath Shinde systematically.
Shiv Sena said Mumbai police detained Kanal and other party workers at around 4 am on Monday. An FIR has been registered against Kanal and 19 others for vandalising the standup comedy set.
The FIR mentions that the accused forcefully entered the hotel, manhandled and threatened the staff members and vandalised the hotel.
The FIR states that the cops got an SoS call, reached the venue and tried to stop the accused but they didn’t pay any heed to the cops. The FIR says that Kanal kept provoking the workers. Later the accused came out and started chanting slogans.
The FIR is registered under various sections of the BNS and Maharashtra Police Act:
BNS 191 (2)- rioting
BNS 324 (5) (6)- Mischief
BNS 132- Assault or criminal force to deter public servant from discharge of duty
BNS 223- Disobedience to order duly promulgated by a public servant
BNS 189 (2) (3)- Offences against the public tranquillity
BNS 190- every member of unlawful assembly guilty of the offence committed in prosecution of common object

BNS 325- intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of peace
BNS 333- Trespassing after preparation for hurt, assault or wrongful restraint
BNS 135- Assault or criminal force in an attempt to wrongfully confine a person
Statements from multiple Shiv Sena leaders continue to pour in.
Sanjay Nirupam claims he will expose Kamra and address a press conference around 11 am on Monday, March 24.
MP Naresh Mhaske alleged that the Uddhav Thackeray faction paid Kunal Kamra to malign the Dy CM’s image. Mhaske also claimed that Sena workers would force Kamra to flee the country.
MLA Murji Patel told ANI, “We have filed an FIR against Kunal Kamra for his comments against our leader and Maharashtra’s DCM Eknath Shinde. We have demanded quick action against him. I want to tell him to apologise to Eknath Shinde within two days otherwise Shiv Sainiks will not let him move about freely in Mumbai. If he is seen anywhere in public, we will paint his face black… We will take up this issue in the assembly and request our state’s home minister to order action against him as soon as possible…”
