
Of the 16 sectors analysed, 10 reported growth, indicating positive hiring momentum, while five sectors experienced a decline. The IT sector saw a sharp uptick in hiring activity compared to January, signalling renewed demand for technology professionals.
Earlier, in a conversation with CNBC-TV18, Chintan Thakkar, whole-time director and CFO of the Noida-based company, said that he believes lower-end jobs like customer support and business process outsourcing (BPO) roles may be the most affected by artificial intelligence (AI) and AI-powered agents.
However, Thakkar added that AI will also lead to the creation of new types of jobs with higher productivity. He explained that the same workforce will be able to handle a larger volume of work due to efficiency improvements.
In February, MD and CEO Hitesh Oberoi said hiring had been picking up across both IT and non-IT sectors.
