Addressing a public gathering and Congress workers meeting in Assam’s Chaygaon, Gandhi said, “Here, the Chief Minister does not think himself of a Chief Minister but thinks that he is a ‘raja’ of the state. And ‘this king’ of Assam has been giving its people’s money and land to Adani and Ambani.”
“But when you listen to his voice clearly, you will realise that there is fear in his voice. He talks big on TV, but in his voice and deep inside his heart he is afraid, because he knows that fearless Congress workers will put him in hail some day,” he added.

Gandhi stated that Sarma, along with his family, will be held responsible for corruption. “This will not be done by the Congress party. This will be done by the youth, farmers, labourers, and people of every caste and faith of Assam.”
The Congress leader alleged that Sarma is a corrupt person who “steals Assam’s land” in the guise of a solar park or a resort. “Everyone in Assam knows this,” he said.

“The media are not our friend anymore; they are not revealing the truth, but only showing Adani, Ambani, CM, Modi and Shah,” Gandhi said, as per PTI. The Congress leader, however, asserted that this will not help as the Congress will sweep the Assembly elections due next year.
Gandhi also alleged that the Election Commission of India and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) are working together to forge the elections across the country.
He said that the Maharashtra elections were won by the BJP only through “cheating” by revising the voter lists in different states. “They are trying the same tactics in Bihar, and will do so in Assam. We have to be careful,” he stated.
“We have to make sure that the voter list is drafted properly and each person who is living in Assam is included in the list,” he said. “Whatever is happening in Assam is happening all over the country,” he added.
