“RJD and Congress never thought about the betterment of poor people in Bihar,” PM Modi said. “There was a gap in development during the RJD-Congress rule.”
PM Modi added that both the parties are “playing politics in the name of poor and marginalised people,” stating that Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and National Democratic Alliance (NDA) are saving Bihar “from their clutches,” as per PTI.
The Prime Minister announced that the central government will be spending ₹1 lakh crore for providing jobs and employment to the youth of the country. “RJD cannot think of providing employment to youths, it usurped the land of poor people before giving them jobs,” he added, taking a dig at the land-for-jobs scam case, which former Bihar CM Lalu Prasad Yadav is being tried for.

The Prime Minister also laid the foundation stones for multiple rail projects, including the development of infrastructure for maintenance of Vande Bharat trains at Patliputra, and automatic signalling on the Bhatni-Chhapra Gramin route (114 km) to enable streamlined train services.
“We have to develop Motihari like Mumbai,” PM Modi said.
Many political leaders from the state attended the events, including Bihar Governor Arif Mohammad Khan, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, and Deputy CM Samrat Choudhary.
