At least four children have died in Rajasthan’s Jhalawar on Friday (July 25) as a roof of a school building collapsed, while many students are left injured.
The accident happened at Piplodi Government School in Manoharthana block of Jhalawar district, while students were attending the morning classes.
About 17 students are injured, as per the Superintendent of Police.
“Four children have died and 17 others are injured. Ten children have been referred to Jhalawar out of which three to four are critical, SP Amit Kumar told news agency PTI.
The rescue efforts to save the students are underway as the debris are being removed with the help of local villagers and teachers.
