Actor Priom Gujjar has joined the cast of the upcoming television show Lakshmi Niwas. He will be seen in the lead role of Raj Bundela, a character defined by complex traits and layered behavior. Sharing details about the role, Priom said, “Raj Bundela has a very particular physio-behaviour. He has OCD tendencies, like keeping things exactly the way he wants them. He loves his wife, but at times he wants to be superior and control her. If she doesn’t listen, he turns rude.” For Priom, the part is a long-awaited opportunity. “I’m happy that with the blessings of God, my parents and well-wishers, I’m finally playing a dream role. If this clicks, it will be a turning point in my career,” he said. “I always wanted to play such a challenging and rewarding role. I feel this year Bappa has given me the best gift.” While the role is demanding, it’s also far removed from his real self. “I don’t relate at all to Raj as he is selfish, arrogant, and short-tempered, whereas in real life I’m completely opposite. Playing this will be like living a different identity, and that will help the actor in me to enjoy and grow,” he shared. Priom was last seen in Shaitani Rasmein and has previously been part of shows like Kaleerein, Ishqbaaaz, and Shrimad Bhagwat Mahapuran.
