
His remarks come after the Supreme Court rejected petitions challenging the E20 implementation programme.
“All testing agencies have confirmed there is no problem with implementation,” Gadkari said, emphasising the government’s efforts to promote cleaner fuels.
He made the comments while addressing the 65th SIAM Annual Convention on Thursday, 11 September.
Gadkari urged the industry to intensify efforts to launch biofuel vehicles to reduce pollution and reiterated his call for discounts for people scrapping their old cars.
He also thanked the auto industry for successfully transitioning from BSIV to BSVI standards and reaffirmed that global alignment would be maintained in the rollout of BSVI and CAFE norms.
Looking ahead, he projected that logistics costs in India would fall to 9% by the end of 2025.
