Kirloskar Electric Company Ltd. (KECL) announced today that the Board of Directors has appointed Meena Kirloskar as the Vice-Chairperson of the company, effective immediately.
Kirloskar, who has been serving as a Non-Executive and Non-Independent Director of the company, will retain her existing role alongside the new designation. The company clarified that there is no change in her category of directorship.
The decision was made at a board meeting held today, and the appointment is in line with the company’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its leadership structure.
Kirloskar Electric Company Ltd. is a leader in the manufacturing of electric motors, generators, and transformers. The company is a part of the Kirloskar Group and serves industries across power, infrastructure, and other sectors.
Shares of the company ended 0.5% higher at a price of ₹138.45 on Monday.
