Jaipur: Amity University Rajasthan has awarded Ph.D. degree to Eisha Arun in clinical psychology. Eisha, a former athlete of repute, has completed her thesis on title “examining the role of self affirmation and personality in the development of self-efficacy, hope, optimism and resilience among undergraduate students: A mixed methods study” under supervision of Dr Ajit Kumar Singh.
During her thesis she interacted with several undergraduate students which included many sportspersons. Having participated regularly in the athletics events like long jump and sprints, Eisha guided the students about numerous topics including sports.
Eisha is a psychologist by profession and has been doing practice for the last few years. Eisha’s guide Dr Ajit Kumar Singh is an assistant professor at AIBAS, psychology department.
The Amity Institute of Behavioural and Allied Sciences (AIBAS) has nurtured numerous research scholars, with several faculty members actively supervising Ph.D. candidates.
