Axis Mutual Fund has appointed a new Chief Investment Officer (CIO). Its strategy and product head — R Sivakumar — has been elevated as Chief Investment Officer of the fund house. He’d be the fourth person to occupy the chair at the eighth-largest fund house by assets under management in India in 10 years — Pankaj Murarka (till 2016), Jinesh Gopani (2016-2023), Ashish Gupta (2023-2026), and Sivakumar (incumbent).
