
Bajaj Auto reported total sales of 4.45 lakh units in March compared to CNBC-TV18 poll’s estimate of 4.49 lakh units. The total sales for March increased 20% from 3.7 lakh units in the previous year.
Its exports witnessed a double-digit growth but failed to maintain the monthly run rate of 2 lakh units. The company’s total exports increased 21% to 1.79 lakh units from 1.48 lakh units in the year-ago period.
Its total two-wheeler sales increased 21% as well to 3.8 lakh units from 3.16 lakh units in the previous year.
Commercial vehicle sales were up 20% at 64,904 units from 54,091 units in the previous year.
Shares of Bajaj Auto ended the previous session 1.8% lower at ₹8,740 per share. The stock has declined 9.5% in the past month.
