The four-day rally will run until September 27 and will see the Hyderabad MP holding roadshows and corner meetings across constituencies in the Seemanchal region, the party said in a statement on Tuesday, September 23, reported news agency PTI.
The Yatra will commence from Kishanganj, with Owaisi aiming to mobilise public support around issues of development and justice for the region.
He has repeatedly flagged the backwardness of Seemanchal region and had earlier tabled a private member’s bill in the Lok Sabha seeking the creation of a Seemanchal Region Development Council under Article 371 of the Indian Constitution.
In Bihar assembly election 2020, the AIMIM party contested 20 seats and won five, all from Seemanchal. The party has indicated it is likely to contest more constituencies this time with many “influential political leaders and social workers” who are reportedly showing interest in contesting on its ticket.

Congress CWC to convene in PatnaÂ
As the Bihar elections, slated to be held in October-November 2025, approach near, the politics is deepening in the state.
The Congress party is set to hold a meeting of its Working Committee in Patna on Wednesday, September 24, marking the first such gathering in Bihar in the post-independence era, as per PTI.
To be held at Sadaqat Ashram, the extended session will bring together permanent and special invitees, state unit presidents, chief ministers from Congress-ruled states and senior leaders including party president Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi.
The meeting is expected to focus on the party’s strategy and the issue of alleged “vote chori” (vote theft), PTI reported citing party’s sources.

The deliberations follow Rahul Gandhi’s “Voter Adhikar Yatra” and recent press conferences in which he accused the Election Commission of protecting those involved in deleting votes of Congress supporters, a charge the poll body has dismissed as “incorrect and baseless”.
Allegations against ruling-NDA leaders
Senior BJP leader and former Union Minister RK Singh urged Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary and JD(U) minister Ashok Choudhary to “come clean” on allegations made by Jan Suraaj Party founder Prashant Kishor or “step down”.
This has added to the political heat in the state.
Kishor has questioned Samrat Choudhary’s educational qualifications and alleged Ashok Choudhary’s involvement in questionable land purchases worth ₹200 crore. He also accused BJP leader Dilip Jaiswal of irregularities in acquiring a minority college, as per PTI.Â
“Some serious charges have been levelled against these leaders besides state BJP president Dilip Jaiswal. All these things are bringing a bad name to the party and the government in the state,” he told PTI.
“If they have evidence to dispute the allegations, they should come forward with it and may even sue Prashant Kishor for defamation. If not, they should step down,” Singh added.
