The all-important Bihar Assembly election in November is a two-way fight between the BJP and JD(U)-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and Congress-led INDIA bloc. However, in at least 11 seats, the Congress, RJD, and Left parties have fielded candidates against each other in what’s been termed a ‘friendly fight’.
The development comes despite the parties agreeing to a seat-sharing arrangement and local-level coordination. Congress is locked in battles for four seats each with the RJD and the CPI in Bihar elections
. In at least one constituency, CPI (ML) and CPI (M) have pitted their candidates against each other.
