To infuse new energy into the organisation, the Thackeray faction handed over the reins to Ahir, who is known for his experience in labour unions and organisational acumen.
In the new executive team, Nitin Nandgaonkar, the party’s deputy leader, has been named general secretary, while Gaurishankar Khot will serve as chief guide. Nandgaonkar is recognised for his outspoken advocacy on public issues.
