BSE scheduled a Currency Derivatives mock session from both its Primary Site (PR) and Disaster Recovery Site (DR). Trading members using third-party platforms or in-house systems through ETI APIs can test functionalities including exceptional market conditions.
The session timings are as follows:
- Login: 09:15–10:00 AM
- Continuous Trading (PR): 10:00 AM–01:00 PM
- Switchover to DR: 01:00–01:45 PM
- Continuous Trading (DR): 01:45–04:00 PM
- Trade Modification: from 04:10 PM
BSE emphasised that trades executed in the mock session will not attract margin obligations, pay-in/pay-out requirements, or create legal rights or liabilities. Members are encouraged to actively participate and provide feedback to help improve trading systems.
NSE will conduct mock sessions across multiple market segments, including equity, derivatives, and special pre-open sessions. The exchange will also test the revised Order-to-Trade Ratio (OTR) framework, which is scheduled for production release from April 6, 2026.
Key timings include:
- Session 1 (Primary Site): 08:45 AM–12:15 PM, including block deals, pre-open sessions, normal market hours, and trade modifications
- Session 2 (DR Site): 01:00–03:45 PM, followed by live re-login from 04:30–05:00 PM
NSE highlighted that all trades during the mock session are simulated, with no fund transfers or settlements. Members are advised to participate fully, test connectivity, and validate their trading applications ahead of Monday, March 16.
Both exchanges reiterated that these mock sessions are routine system drills designed to ensure stability, test disaster recovery mechanisms, and familiarise members with new operational frameworks.
