The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) has announced the timetable for the 2026 board exams on Thursday, November 13, with Class 10 (ICSE) exams scheduled to begin on February 17 and Class 12 (ISC) exams from February 12.
According to the council, the ICSE exams will conclude on March 30, while the ISC exams will continue till April 6, covering 75 subjects for Class 10 and 50 subjects for Class 12.
A total of 2.6 lakh students will appear for the ICSE exams, and around 1.5 lakh students will take the ISC exams this year.
CISCE Chief Executive and Secretary Joseph Emannuel said the schedule has been carefully structured to maintain a balanced academic calendar and to give candidates sufficient preparation time between major subjects.
He added that the council’s objective is to ensure that the examination process remains smooth, student-friendly, and well-paced, allowing candidates to perform to the best of their abilities.
