
After witnessing a highly dramatic elections on Thursday, September 18, the results will be announced today.
As of 12:30 pm, about eight rounds of counting is said to be completed and the results show a high tussle between different candidates.
The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) Presidential candidate, Aryan Maan is leading for the post, whereas National Students’ Union of India (NSUI) candidate Joslyn Nandita Choudhary is trailing, as per News18.
For the post of Vice President of the DUSU council, NSUI’s Rahul Jhansla is leading with a huge margin, whereas, ABVP’s Govind Tanwar is trailing.
After eight rounds, the tally is:

This year, NSUI fielded a woman candidate for the presidential post after 17 years. A total of three women candidates are electing for the post, as per News18.
Currently, the DUSU presidential post is held by NSUI’s Ronak Khatri, who led the NSUI to come back after seven years since 2017, when Rocky Tuseed was elected.
On September 18, NSUI alleged vote manipulation in the elections in different colleges such as Kirori Mal, Hansraj and Hindu. NSUI president Varun Choudhary had alleged interference with the electronic voting machines (EVMs).
ABVP rejected the charges, describing them as NSUI’s “frustration”. But the group accused current DUSU President Ronak Khatri of entering Kirori Mal college with outsiders and creating a ruckus.
Khatri countered by saying that ABVP was “pressuring students to cast their votes” and alleged “vote theft” on the campus.
