Among the 48 departments reviewed, at least 12 departments got the perfect score, which means they completed all the tasks assigned to them within the set timeline. These include the Water Resources, Home, Rural Development, Animal Husbandry, and Ports Departments. The Higher and Technical Education, Labour, and Textile Departments also excelled, along with the Culture, Mining, Dairy Development, and Employment Guarantee Scheme departments.

Women and Child Development Department, led by Ajit Pawar group’s minister, Aditi Tatkare, scored 80%. The Public Works Department stood second, while the Agriculture Department secured third place.
Three major departments have performed poorly, scoring less than 35%. These include the General Administration Department headed by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, the Urban Development Department under Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, and the Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Department handled by Deputy CM Ajit Pawar.
The General Administration Department received just 24%, the Urban Development Department scored 34%, and the Food and Civil Supplies Department scored 33%.
The stark contrast between high and low-performing departments has sparked political discussion and public interest. As the Mahayuti government enters its next phase, this report card is a mirror and a guide. Citizens will closely watch whether the underperforming ministries catch up and the top departments maintain the momentum.
