Agniveervayu Sports 02/2026: Eligibility and education requirements
The Air Force has outlined two broad education categories – science and non-science.
For science subjects, candidates must have completed Class 12 with Physics, Mathematics and English, securing at least 50% overall and 50% in English.
There are alternatives. A three-year engineering diploma in streams such as mechanical, electrical, electronics, automobile, computer science or IT is also accepted – again with 50% marks.
Vocational course candidates can apply as well, provided Physics and Mathematics were included.
For non-science streams, candidates must have passed Class 12 in any subject combination with the same minimum mark requirement. A two-year vocational course also qualifies under similar conditions.
Who can apply
The recruitment is open only to unmarried Indian male candidates. In addition to academic qualifications, applicants must meet the sports criteria defined by the Air Force. Details on specific disciplines and performance benchmarks are available in the official notification.
