Among the women candidates named are Usha Kiran from Sursand (Sitamarhi), Jagriti Thakur from Morwa (Samastipur), Jayanti Patel from Khagaria, Lata Singh from Asthawan (Nalanda), Kumari Poonam Sinha from Nalanda, Neha Kumari (Natraz) from Chenari (SC, Rohtas), and Archana Chandra from Nabinagar (Aurangabad).
The list also features retired bureaucrats, doctors, social workers, and educationists, reflecting Kishor’s earlier pledge to back candidates known for integrity and public service rather than political lineage.
“Our goal is to bring credible, service-oriented people into politics,” said Uday Singh, the party’s national president, while unveiling the list at Patna’s Sheikhpura House.
While Kishor’s own name was absent from the list, Singh confirmed that the Jan Suraaj founder will launch the party’s campaign on October 11 from Raghopur, the constituency represented by RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav. Singh hinted that Kishor’s candidature could still be announced later, keeping the political circles abuzz with speculation.
