
Candidates who appeared for the examination can now check their results and download their scorecards from the official website JEE Advanced 2025.
Final answer key and scorecards released
Alongside the results, IIT Kanpur also published the final answer key for the JEE exam. Candidates are advised to log in using their credentials on the official portal to access their results. It is recommended that they verify the details on the scorecard and retain a printed copy for future use.
The JEE Advanced examination was conducted on May 18 in two sessions, with separate papers for Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

According to the feedback from the students and subject matter experts, Mathematics was the most challenging section this year, while Physics and Chemistry were of moderate difficulty, as per News18.
Cut-off marks witness decline
This year’s qualifying marks have seen a significant drop. To be eligible for the Common Rank List (CRL), candidates must obtain at least 5.83% in each subject and a minimum aggregate of 20.56%, per News18.
The overall cutoff has fallen from 109 marks in 2024 to 76 in 2025, a reduce of nearly 30%, with subject-wise cut-offs decreasing by approximately 3% across all categories.
Next is JoSAA Counselling 2025
The qualified candidates will now proceed to the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) counselling process for admission to IITs, NITs, IIITs and government funded technical institutes.

The registration and choice-filling process will begin on June 3. A total of 17,695 B. Tech seats are on offer across IITs this year. In 2024, only around 9.83% of candidates secured a seat, as per News18.
Delhi’s Rajit Gupta tops JEE Advanced 2025
As per the official release, Rajit Gupta from the IIT Delhi zone has secured All India Rank (AIR) 1 with a score of 332 out of 360. Devdutta Majhi, who secured AIR 16, has emerged as the top female candidate in 2025.
Out of over 1.80 lakh candidates who appeared both Paper 1 and Paper 2, 54,378 candidates have qualified the exam, including 9,404 female candidates.
The IIT Hyderabad zone reported the highest number of successful candidates at 12,946, followed by the IIT Delhi zone where 11,370 candidates qualified.
