
KEC International won a STATCOM project from a global OEM in India and supply of towers, hardware and poles order in the Americas, under its transmission and distribution business.
Under its civil business, the company will establish a semiconductor plant for a prominent private player in India and execute an upstream project for a leading steel player in India.
KEC International, under its cables business, also won an order to supply various types of cables across India.
The company’s MD and CEO Vimal Kejriwal said KEC International’s civil business has marked its entry into the semiconductor segment with the recent order. “These strategic orders reinforce our confidence in achieving the targeted order intake for the year and reflect our continued progress in deepening and solidifying our business portfolio,” he said.
KEC International shares were up 4.42% at ₹725.55 apiece at 2.55 pm on Monday, May 12. The stock has declined 39.51% this year, so far.
