
Lucknow: The new ‘consultancy policy’ of Lucknow University, recently approved by the academic council allows all the faculty members including those in self-finance courses, PhD-qualified scholars and students to offer professional advice to government and private projects.
Earlier, only teachers of regular courses were allowed to offer consultancy or undertake consultancy projects and revenue sharing guidelines were unclear.

The policy has also a fixed revenue sharing model. In science and engineering, 60% of the revenue will go to the teachers and 40% to the university, while in arts and other faculties, 70% share will go to the teachers and 30% to the university.
