Mafatlal Industries Ltd said it has secured an order worth around ₹114 crore on Tuesday, March 17, from the Odisha Computer Application Centre (OCAC) to establish robotic laboratories across schools in the state of Odisha.
According to the company’s exchange filing, the project involves setting up 500 robotic laboratories across 16 districts under the School and Mass Education Department of the Government of Odisha. The contract will be executed over a five-year period.
OCAC, the designated technical directorate of the Electronics and Information Technology Department of the Government of Odisha, awarded the order for implementing robotics labs in secondary schools to promote technology-led learning.
Under the mandate, Mafatlal Industries will establish state-of-the-art robotics labs and provide training and education services to ensure effective implementation and learning outcomes.
The initiative is aimed at strengthening STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) education and promoting experiential learning through hands-on robotics training for students, stated the exchange filing.
The company said the collaboration with the Odisha government represents one of the largest robotics education initiatives in India, focused on building future-ready skills among school students.
Mafatlal Industries added that the mandate also aligns with its strategy to expand its digital infrastructure and education technology initiatives, while supporting the adoption of technology-driven education solutions across schools.
