
Actress Malavika Mohanan is busy working on her upcoming movie ‘Pocket Novel’ directed by Thiagarajan Kumararaja. Recently, the actress visited the City of Dreams. While enjoying a boat ride there she shared what made her fall in love with the city a little more.
Malavika Mohanan finds love again in the city
Taking to her Instagram handle, the ‘Raja Saab’ actress recently shared that she found a fresh reason to love Mumbai again. After a long and emotional month away from home, a peaceful sunset boat ride in the city made her feel calm and happy.
Malavika Mohanan recently shared that the film became a highlight for her in March, as she wrote, “The biggest highlight? Filming for ‘Pocket Novel’ and being directed by Thiagarajan Kumararaja.” She also called him “one of the finest filmmakers of our generation.” She said watching his work and learning from him felt very special. She added, “Watching his process, being guided and shaped by him, has been one of the most special creative experiences in my career so far.“
Shares about challenging month away from home
The actress spent most of her time in Chennai for the shoot. She said the work was amazing, but being away from home was not easy. The ‘Sardar 2’ actress shared her feelings very openly. “I spent most of the month in Chennai for the shoot. And while the work itself was incredible, being away from home for so long hit me harder than I expected,” she said. She also spoke about feeling lonely after work. “Coming back to an empty room after a long day doesn’t get easier,” she added.Things changed when her family visited. She said it made her feel happy again.

“When my family came to visit for a couple of days, it was like a respite for my spirit,” she said. They visited temples in Chennai and Mahabalipuram and enjoyed local food together. She felt even more happy because her grandmother also came. “Especially since my grandmother visited as well, which she rarely does,” she shared.After finishing her work, she returned to Mumbai. A simple moment there made her feel peaceful. She went on a sunset boat ride and loved it. “The sky was breathtaking, the ocean air healing, and the waves so soothing,” she said. That one evening made her feel close to home again. “That evening… made me fall in love with Mumbai a little more,” she added.On the work front, she was last seen in the Prabhas starrer, ‘The Raja Saab’, directed by Maruthi.
