
The funds will be raised through secured or unsecured, redeemable, taxable, non-cumulative, non-convertible corporate bonds in one or more series or tranches on a private placement basis. The company may also raise funds through term loans or external commercial borrowings (ECBs) in suitable tranches.

Additionally, the board approved monetisation of future cash flow in the form of Return on Equity from Chamera-III and Parbati-III Power Stations, or any other power stations, for 10 years in a single tranche during FY 2025-26.First Quarter Results
NHPC reported a consolidated net profit of ₹1,065 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2025, up 4.2% from ₹1,022 crore in the same period last year. The growth came on the back of higher revenues, which rose 19.3% YoY to ₹3,214 crore from ₹2,694 crore.
EBITDA stood at ₹1,802 crore, a 12% increase from ₹1,609 crore in the year-ago quarter. Operating margins, however, eased to 56.1% from 59.7% a year earlier.

Separately, NHPC informed exchanges that it has successfully raised ₹2,000 crore on August 12, 2025, through the issuance of unsecured, redeemable, non-convertible, non-cumulative, and taxable 6.40% NHPC AG Series Bonds 2027 on a private placement basis.
Shares of NHPC Ltd ended at ₹77.29, down by ₹1.07, or 1.37%, on the BSE.
