The change comes into effect post-end-of-day (EOD) on August 28, 2025. From that date, all existing derivative contracts will be modified to reflect the new expiry schedule, and any new contracts created thereafter will follow the updated expiry pattern.
Revised contract details will be made available in the contract file generated on August 28 and applicable for trading from August 29, 2025. There will be no change in other contract specifications.
Members have been advised to download updated contract files before trading resumes on August 29. However, NSE has noted that expiry dates may be adjusted for any exchange holidays. The clearing corporations will announce the updated settlement schedule separately.
