Over 40 Bengaluru schools receive bomb threat, investigation underway

About 40 schools in Bengaluru have received bomb threat through emails on Friday (July 18).

The bomb squads and and police teams have started investigation into the matter, as per News18.

The bomb threats have been received across the city on the schools’ email address, and the police and bomb disposal squads have been rushing to different educational institutions to probe the matter.
The authorities are also investigating whether these are hoax mails or serious threats, as per News18.

Many of the educational institutions reported the matter to the police. The email reportedly says, “I will erase every last one of you from this world, and not a single soul will survive,” adding that bombs have been kept inside the schools’ classrooms as well, as per News18.

On July 18 morning, several schools in the national capital New Delhi also received bomb threats on their email. About 20 educational institutions got the mail, following which the schools informed the students’ parents to get their wards back to home.

This is reportedly a fourth such incident in Delhi when the schools received bomb threats.
