
According to the latest data released by US-based business intelligence firm Morning Consult, conducted from July 4 to 10, 2025, he was followed by South Korean President Lee Jae Myung and Javier Milei of Argentina. Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump ranked eighth, with less than 45% approval.
According to the survey results, 75% of participants approved of PM Modi
as a democratic world leader, while 7% of them couldn’t make up their minds, and 18% believed otherwise.
“The latest approval ratings are based on data collected from July 4 to 10, 2025. Ratings reflect a trailing seven-day simple moving average of views among adults in each country surveyed,” according to Morning Consult.

PM Modi has consistently held the top position in Morning Consult’s Global Leader Approval Rating Tracker since at least September 2021, when he received 70% approval. By early 2022, his approval rating had risen to roughly 71%, according to a survey of 13 international leaders.
He continued to lead throughout 2023, with ratings reaching 76% in surveys conducted in April, September, and December. In February 2024, his approval climbed to 78%, firmly placing him at the top of the global ranking.
The announcement comes on the same day that he completed 4,078 days as Prime Minister of India, the second-longest continuous tenure in office behind Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. He has surpassed Indira Gandhi’s record of 4,077 consecutive days in office.
