
On Thursday, PM Modi inaugurated the new terminal building of Jayprakash Narayan International Airport, also known as Patna Airport. Built at a cost of around ₹ 1,200 crore, the terminal is expected to serve one crore passengers annually.
He also laid the foundation stone of a new civil enclave at Bihta Airport worth over ₹
1,410 crore, located 30 km west of Patna.
He held a roadshow in Patna on Thursday evening, where people gathered with tricolours in their hands and patriotic slogans on their lips. He then conducted a one-hour strategy meeting at the BJP office with top party leaders.
On May 30, he will inaugurate, lay the foundation stone and dedicate to the nation multiple development projects in Karakat worth over ₹ 48,520 crore.
The Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone for the Nabinagar Super Thermal Power Project, Stage-II (3×800 MW), which will cost more than ₹ 29,930 crore in Aurangabad district and aim to ensure energy security for Bihar and eastern India. It will boost industrial growth, create jobs and supply affordable electricity to the region.
He will also lay the foundation stone for several road projects, including the four-lane Patna-Arrah-Sasaram section of NH-119A, the six-lane Varanasi-Ranchi-Kolkata highway (NH-319B) and the Ramnagar-Kacchi Dargah stretch (NH-119D), and the construction of a new Ganga bridge between Buxar and Bharauli.
These projects will build seamless high-speed corridors throughout the state while also increasing trade and regional connections. He will also launch the four-lane Patna-Gaya-Dobhi portion of NH-22, valued at approximately ₹5,520 crore, as well as the four-lane elevated highway and grade improvements at Gopalganj Town on NH-27, among other projects.
The Prime Minister will dedicate to the public the 3rd Rail Line between Son Nagar and Mohammad Ganj, valued at over ₹ 1330 crore.
