The fire and explosion, at its Katepally factory in the southern state of Telangana, has damaged building and machinery and the company is ascertaining the losses, Premier said in an exchange filing.
The injured have been shifted to the hospital for treatment. Premier said that emergency measures were taken immediately under the supervision of Directors and senior officers, which helped in containing the impact of the explosion.
The cause for the incident is being investigated, it said in a statement.
In January, the company disclosed a fire accident at another factory in Telangana, which killed one individual and injured another. The fire had caused damage to the building and equipment in one of the pyro technique manufacturing facilities.
