Addressing the 16th edition of the ‘Rozgar Mela’ held at 47 locations nationwide, PM Modi said the drive is empowering lakhs of youth.
“Our motto is ‘Bina Parchi Bina Kharchi’. Lakhs of youth have been employed through such Rozgar Mela and are contributing to the development of the nation. Some will protect the nation, some warriors of ‘Help for all’, some will strengthen the financial inclusion mission, and many others will enhance the industrial development of the nation,” PM Modi said.
He added, “Your departments are different, but one body – nation’s service. Our country is moving towards becoming the third-largest economy in the world. The country has made progress in every sector in the last 11 years.”
According to official figures, over 10 lakh appointment letters have been handed out so far through Rozgar Melas across India.
The new recruits will join ministries and departments including Railways, Home Affairs, Posts, Health and Family Welfare, Financial Services, and Labour and Employment.
The Rozgar Mela is part of the Centre’s push to create more jobs and ensure young people actively contribute to India’s growth story.
