Indices there remain cautious ahead of the Fed decision later tonight. Oil prices too, remain at elevated levels. The challenge is the sharp surge in the India crude basket, which made a record high of $142.
Tuesday’s high becomes the first level on the upside to watch for the Nifty, followed by the 61.8% retracement of the entire rally, which is 23,694. For the Nifty Bank, 55,000 continues to remain the first hurdle. Although the markets are moving higher, they are extremely volatile with sharp swings seen on either side.
The VIX closed below 20 but remains a key monitorable. Keep an eye on Swan Defence, Aurobindo and Strides Pharma, Urban Company, Maruti, Varun Beverages among others.
