
The contracts relate to BESS implementation at two NTPC thermal power stations under “Lot-2” of the project.
One order involves BESS implementation at the Feroze Gandhi Unchahar Thermal Power Station with an award capacity of 50 MW/100 MWh. The contract is valued at about ₹108.22 crore (excluding taxes).
The second order is for BESS implementation at the Solapur Super Thermal Power Station with an award capacity of 75 MW/150 MWh. The contract value stands at about ₹176.91 crore (excluding taxes).

Together, the two contracts have a combined value of around ₹283 crore.
Both projects have been awarded by NTPC as domestic contracts and will involve the execution of BESS EPC packages aimed at strengthening energy storage infrastructure at the respective thermal power stations.
According to the disclosures, the facilities under both contracts are scheduled to be completed within 15 months from the award of the projects.
The Unchahar project involves an aggregate BESS size of 50 MW/100 MWh, while the Solapur project will have an aggregate size of 75 MW/150 MWh, according to the company.

Solarworld Energy Solutions also confirmed that the contracts do not involve related-party transactions and that the promoter or promoter group does not have any interest in the entity awarding the orders.
Shares of Solarworld Energy Solutions closed 0.46% higher at ₹143.21 following the announcement on Monday. The stock has declined 55.73% over the past six months.
