Among the listed vacancies, at least five positions—including service technicians and advisory roles—are available in both Mumbai and Delhi. Other roles, such as customer engagement manager and delivery operations specialist, are specifically based in Mumbai.
This move comes as Tesla is reportedly gearing up to begin retail sales in India this year. The company has been scouting for showroom locations in Delhi, Mumbai, and other major cities, sources told CNBC-TV18.
Musk-Modi meeting fuels speculation

Additionally, reports indicate that Starlink’s entry into the Indian market could have been part of the discussions, Reuters had earlier reported.
Tesla’s India entry has been in the works for years, with the company previously lobbying for lower import duties and policy incentives. As part of India’s push to attract global automakers and accelerate EV adoption, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, in her Budget speech, announced a reduction in tariffs on high-end cars, including station wagons and racecars, priced above $40,000. The tariff rate has been lowered from 125% to 70%, making luxury imports more accessible.
Additionally, she scrapped basic customs duties on lithium-ion batteries used in electric vehicles, a move aimed at reducing EV production costs and encouraging domestic manufacturing.
Tesla is also expected to bring its low-cost electric vehicle to India this year. Currently, the company’s cheapest offering in the U.S., the Model 3, is priced at around $30,000.
However, Tesla is set to launch a new model under $25,000 in the U.S. by June, and sources suggest this could be the first model introduced in India.
With hiring now underway, the EV giant’s long-anticipated arrival in the Indian market may finally be taking shape.
