
Energy and environment solutions provider Thermax Ltd on Friday (May 9) reported an 8.1% year-on-year (YoY) increase in its fourth quarter net profit at ₹205.7 crore, up from ₹190.33 crore in Q4FY24.
However, the figure fell short of estimates. The CNBC-TV18 poll had predicted a profit of ₹227.84 crore for the quarter under review.
Revenue from operations was up 11.6% YoY to ₹3,085 crore against ₹2,763.7 crore in the year-ago quarter, again missing the CNBC-TV18 poll forecast of ₹3,159.6 crore.

EBITDA rose 9.7% to ₹300 crore over ₹273.2 crore. The CNBC-TV18 poll had predicted an EBITDA of ₹312 crore for the fourth quarter of FY25.
The EBITDA margin narrowed slightly at 9.7% compared to 9.9% in the corresponding period in the previous fiscal, lower than the CNBC-TV18 poll prediction of 9.87%.
The results were affected by the recognition of higher technology intervention costs amounting to ₹66 crore in bio-CNG projects under the industrial infra segment.

As of March 31, 2025, the order balance for the quarter was ₹10,693 crore (₹10,111 crore), up 6% YoY. The order booking for the quarter was ₹2,119 crore, showcasing an 8% decrease compared to ₹2,309 crore in the same quarter of the previous fiscal year.
The order booking for the quarter was lower by 6% at ₹1,526 crore versus ₹623 crore in the previous year. The order balance on March 31, 2025, stood at ₹6,026 crore (₹6,213 crore), down by 3%.
The board has recommended a dividend of ₹14 per equity share of ₹2 each (700%) for the financial year 2024-25, subject to shareholder approval at the ensuing AGM. The record date for payment of the dividend is fixed as Friday, July 4, 2025.

The results came after the close of the market hours. Shares of Thermax Limited ended at ₹3,234.75, up by ₹78.05, or 2.47%, on the BSE.
